Welcome to the University of Georgia's Summer Intensive English Program! We offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to new UGA graduate students, current UGA graduate and undergraduate students, UGA and Athens community members, and students from overseas who are seeking a summer-only English program. Our classes are designed for advanced students only, though we may be able to arrange special programs for groups of students with lower levels. Please use the links on the left to find out more about our program.

Are you new to Athens? We think you're going to love it here. Located in Northeast Georgia, the University of Georgia is an hour's drive from Atlanta and two hours' from the Great Smoky Mountains. We enjoy warm summers, clean fresh air, and a beautiful tree-filled campus with classic buildings and lovely gardens. On campus we have a state-of-the-art sports and recreation center, excellent libraries, comfortable student centers and dorm rooms, and award-winning cafeterias. UGA is also home to the Georgia Museum of Art and hosts a variety of music and dance performances throughout the year. Finally, the campus is right next to downtown Athens, where you will find stylish shops, restaurants, and bars, not to mention great live music, which is part of the tradition of this town. We hope that you will enjoy studying in our intensive English program, and we'll do our best to make sure that your time at UGA gets off to a good start. We look forward to meeting you soon, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
